Profile/ Amy KirtlandAmy grew up skiing and hiking in the mountains of Colorado. She studied architecture at the University of Colorado and more recently at the University of Texas where she focused her studies towards sustainable design. Amy has sought out hands on experiences in her education and practice as an architect. These experiences have included volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, helping construct the 2002 University of Texas Solar Decathlon House, and acting as project manager both in the studio and in the field for a design build project in the Texas hill country. After a four hear hiatus in Austin, Texas and Southeast Asia, Amy happily returned to Barrett Studio and the outdoor wonderland of Colorado in 2006. |
