Perryville Place

Rockford, IL

Perryville Place is an attempt to create ‘place’ along the placeless auto strip in suburban Rockford.  The 70,000 sf mix of retail and office space is designed around multiple dialogues.  The undulating veiled façade to the highway translates to the ground in the form of landscape features that provide a buffer to the autoworld, while mirroring the iconic Rock River.  The shifting of the building's mass also allows for people places: cafes, kid’s play, and events that celebrate the natural elements.  The project, for which local project management was provided by Hagney Architects, was recently completed and is in the process of attracting tenants who reinforce this vision for a vibrant work / life environment in Rockford.
