Cox Corner

Boulder, Colorado

Cox Corner is a 17,000 SF mixed use building on the corner of Pearl Street and 27th. Retail inhabits the pedestrian street level, with parking to the rear of the site - allowing storefront to activate the streetscape. The second and third floors provide for office & professional medical (dental) uses.

Natural daylighting and sun-control devices are integrated with ground face block, corrugated cementatious siding and local sandstone to create a dialogue between heavy masonry and the lightness of the protruding bays. A bridge becomes a gateway to bring the pedestrian from the rear parking into the streetfront experience.
