Reinvented Ranch

Arvada, Colorado

This home is a reinvention of the familiar 70’s suburban ranch-style home. Rather than scrape the lot, the potentials of this home were studied and evolved, the good bones salvaged and the poor spatial configuration and detailing abandoned.

The quiet exterior belies the treat of the newly rich interior space. Light and sculptural walls guide you through the home, each turn directing the eye toward something of interest - an old wooden chest, an unusual architectural feature, an abstract painting, even a Zen view to the outdoors. It is a home that is meant to be moved through and about; a soothing sanctuary for the owners, and a gallery for their passions of art, family and the memories of past adventures.
