Early Solar Homes
Florida & Colorado
In Florida in the 70’s, and across Colorado in the late 70’s and early 80’s, David Barrett designed his first homes. These homes were a series of architectural responses to the climate - incorporating passive & active solar, earth integration, daylighting, and natural ventilation (cooling) strategies. These were the beginnings of David’s 30+ year legacy of sustainable design.
