Spiritual

We are always seeking spirit in architecture, and feel that the two are inexorably intertwined. Each sacred place is an outgrowth of a poetic seed, a Gestalt: the soul of architecture.

There is importance in engaging in the design of architecture that supports and explores different spiritual traditions. Buddhism, Catholicism, Judaism, and Christianity all have deep interconnections and are founded on expressions of love, which can be translated into places for worship. Every project of spirit brings with it a unique and rich history and value set, and the challenging opportunity for group process with a collective client.

“You can understand now that the monastery and its life and the Chapel as a place of worship are one whole.”
