Tropical HouseOrlando, FLThis custom residence on a small lake in Orlando, Florida, brings open, flow through living to this tropical garden site. Three pavilions provide for live/work/guest spaces, intertwining architecture with mature live oaks and lush vegetation. This bioclimatic design approach draws from lessons from the past to create a cool, loftlike environment. Materials include ocala block, galvalume, and corrugated cement siding on the exterior, with terrazzo floors, louvered windows and exposed block on the interior. Construction will began in the spring of 2004. |
